Short answer: No!
Although commonly believe a 2:1 is required, here at The Grad Hive, we have found many companies list a 2:2 as a minimum qualification.
Some companies however, do still require a 2:1 so check out our Grad Schemes page to check what the company you're interested in requires!
The earlier you apply for a role, the better chance you stand.
Occasionally, a company will select those who have passed the penultimate stage to attend their assessment centres in order of who applied first. This does mean it is possible to pass the video stage of an application and still get informed that due to a first come first serve basis, you won't be able to attend the next stage.
The best advice we can give is to have as much of your application as ready as possible. When the job opens, spend a few days to a week tailoring your application to the job spec and apply!
With some companies, the scheme page doesn't become available until they release the job on their careers page/ job portal.
The best course of action is to visit their careers page and turn on job notifications so you will alerted the moment the job is out.
